Mobile Hoist

A mobile hoist is a mechanical lifting device designed to safely transfer individuals who are unable to stand or bear weight independently. It enables comfortable and dignified transfers between a bed, wheelchair, chair, toilet or bath while significantly reducing the risk of injury to both the individual and their carers.

Mobile hoists are commonly recommended for people with advanced neurological conditions, severe mobility limitations, progressive illnesses or following significant injury, where standing transfer aids are no longer safe or appropriate. Available with a range of sling options, mobile hoists can be selected to meet individual clinical needs, ensuring safe positioning and comfort during every transfer.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether a mobile hoist is the most appropriate solution, taking into account the individual’s mobility, transfer ability, home environment and long-term care needs.
