Sara Steady

The Sara Stedy is a standing transfer aid designed to assist individuals who have sufficient strength to bear weight through their legs but require support when standing and transferring. It enables safe, controlled transfers between a bed, chair, wheelchair or toilet while encouraging the individual to actively participate, helping to maintain mobility and independence.

Widely used in hospitals, rehabilitation settings and home care, the Sara Stedy reduces the physical demands of manual handling for carers while providing secure support for the user. Features such as a non-slip foot platform, padded knee support, central hand grip and lockable wheels promote safe and comfortable transfers.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether the Sara Stedy is the most appropriate transfer aid, ensuring it is suitable for the individual’s strength, balance, weight-bearing ability and functional goals.
