Bath Lift

A bath lift is a powered bathing aid designed to help individuals safely lower themselves into and raise themselves out of the bath at the touch of a button. It enables people with reduced mobility to continue enjoying a relaxing bath while reducing the physical effort and risks associated with getting in and out of the bath.

Bath lifts are suitable for individuals with arthritis, neurological conditions, reduced strength or balance difficulties who are able to transfer onto the seat safely but require assistance with the movement into and out of the bath. Lightweight, portable and easy to operate, most bath lifts can be removed when not in use, making them suitable for shared bathrooms.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether a bath lift is the most appropriate bathing solution, considering the individual’s mobility, transfer ability, bathroom layout and long-term needs.
