Bath Board

A bath board is a simple yet effective bathing aid designed to help individuals get into and out of the bath more safely. Positioned securely across the top of the bath, it provides a stable seating surface, allowing the user to sit down before lifting their legs over the bath side, reducing the need to step directly into the bath.

Bath boards are suitable for individuals with reduced mobility, arthritis, balance difficulties or neurological conditions who require additional support during bathing. They offer a practical and cost-effective solution for maintaining independence and can often delay the need for more extensive bathroom adaptations.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether a bath board is the most appropriate solution, considering the individual’s mobility, transfer ability, balance and bathroom layout.
