Raised Toilet Seat

A raised toilet seat increases the height of an existing toilet, making it easier and safer for individuals to sit down and stand up. By reducing the distance required to lower onto the toilet, it decreases the effort placed on the hips, knees and lower limbs, helping to improve confidence and independence during toileting.

Available in 2-inch, 4-inch and 6-inch height options, raised toilet seats can be selected to suit an individual’s height, mobility and transfer needs. They are particularly beneficial for people with arthritis, joint replacements, neurological conditions, reduced lower limb strength or anyone who finds transferring on and off a standard toilet difficult.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine the most appropriate height and style of raised toilet seat to ensure safe, comfortable and efficient transfers.
