Wet Room Facilities

A wet room is a fully waterproof bathroom designed to provide level access throughout the showering area, creating a safe, accessible and easy-to-maintain environment. By eliminating steps, shower trays and other barriers, wet rooms improve access for individuals with reduced mobility, wheelchair users and those requiring assistance with personal care.

Wet rooms can be adapted to accommodate specialist seating, shower wheelchairs and carers, making them an excellent long-term solution for individuals with progressive neurological conditions, complex disabilities or those wishing to future-proof their home. Every wet room is designed around the individual’s functional abilities, property layout and personal preferences.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether a wet room is the most appropriate solution, ensuring the design meets the individual’s current and future mobility needs while maximising safety and independence.
