Mop-stick Rail

A mop stick rail is a longer grab rail that provides continuous support when moving around the bathroom. Commonly installed alongside baths, showers and toilets, it offers a secure handhold over a greater distance, helping individuals maintain balance while walking, turning or transferring.

Mop stick rails are particularly beneficial for people with reduced mobility, arthritis, neurological conditions or balance difficulties who require additional support during daily activities. Available in a range of lengths and finishes, they can be positioned to suit the individual’s mobility needs and bathroom layout.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine the most appropriate type, length and position of a mop stick rail to maximise safety, independence and ease of movement within the bathroom.
