Access Grab Rail

Access grab rails provide a secure handhold to assist individuals when negotiating a single step, doorway or entrance. Commonly installed beside external doorways, it offers additional stability when stepping up or down, helping to improve confidence and reduce the risk of falls.

The compact design makes it ideal for locations where a longer rail is not required, providing targeted support for individuals with reduced balance, lower limb weakness, arthritis or neurological conditions. It can also be used internally where a short section of support is beneficial during transfers or changes in level.

Following an independent Occupational Therapy assessment, Adapt OT can determine whether a access grab rail is the most appropriate solution and identify the safest position for installation based on the individual’s mobility and the property layout.
